GripBeats® Patches are individual zipped files that contain specific logic for translating the various raw data of the device into MIDI (musical data). You don't need to open these folders - by following these instructions you simply update them to your GripBeats® device.

For e.g. the Patch named CHARLIE allows for 90-degree-triggered block chords while applying an acceleration past a certain threshold in the negative Y axis direction (downwards) triggers the change of modes from block chords to arpeggiated chord.

The GripBeats® Desktop App Patch is the one exception which specifically allows the GripBeats® device to connect with the specially designated GripBeats® Desktop App, a piece of software which we've made separately that allows users to adjust the parameters of their GripBeats®'s device directly on their desktop computer (and then use it with third party DAWs also if desired).
